Marion's Biography

Marion attended Illinois State University where she received a Masters Degree in Theatre. At I.S.U. she was a finalist in the American College Theatre Festival, and her thesis on acting is now used as a theatre text. As a national finalist in Theatre Communications Group auditions, her career took her to New York where she appeared at the avant-garde Cafe La Mama, home to playwrights , Robert Patrick and Sam Shepard. Marion continued on to national tours of, "The Star Spangled Girl", "The Impossible Years", and appeared as Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", with the nationally renowned Off Center Theatre in New York's Central Park.

In Los Angeles, Marion has had recurring roles on "Days of Our Lives", and "The Young and The Restless",and several guest appearances on television and T.V. Movies of the Week including, "Favorite Son," "A Matter of Life and Death" and "Some Kind of Miracle." She has had stage and screen appearances with, Rita Moreno, Jeff Goldblum, Sally Kirkland, Valerie Harper, Mark Hammel and the late John Ritter. She appeared on stage at the Geffen Playhouse with the late Seth Allen and received a Drama-Logue Award for her portrayal of the feisty Angela in Sean O'Casey's, "Bedtime Story".

But nothing is more important to her now than to re-create "morality plays."

"I want to write one-act plays " she says " that will encourage the audience to share their opinions about social issues that impact us all--things that have a spiritual component to them and to stir people--we really do have the ephemeral ability to heal each other!"

Marion is the author of 2 children's plays: "Dr. Xoneration's Secret Plot", and "A Day at the Beach", and 3 morality plays, "If Only I Had More Time", "A Prison of the Mind", "To Do Something Good". She is also working on a play about immigration, "I Belong Here Too"
